HKAIA Participates in HKUST's Workshop on Noise Impact and Control for Low-altitude Aviation(2025-12-01)

31 October 2025, Mr. Spencer Kwan, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Aviation Industry Association (HKAIA), attended the event to deliver the welcome speech on behalf of HKAIA and participated in the on-site discussions.

Successfully hosted by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and its Aerodynamics & Acoustics Facility (AAF), the Workshop on Noise Impact and Control for Low-altitude Aviation brought together top global researchers, industry experts, and policymakers. Against the backdrop of growing challenges in low-altitude aviation noise, the workshop explored innovative solutions through academic exchanges and practical discussions.

Distinguished experts and scholars from around the world, including China, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Brazil, New Zealand, Japan, and Romania, were invited to deliver keynote speeches. The workshop conducted multi-dimensional deliberations on low-altitude aviation noise, covering key areas such as noise generation mechanisms of low-altitude aircraft, noise control technologies, testing and prediction methodologies, computational modeling, environmental impact assessment, and flight route optimization. It provided participants with an interdisciplinary and cross-regional platform for academic exchange and industry collaboration.
